Senior Electronics Engineer Automotive Job Description

For an innovative company in the automotive industry, we are looking for a Senior Electronics Engineer. You will be responsible for identifying market opportunities and structures to have a positive contribution to the sustainable development of our client. You will participate in project teams and you will independently be active in the design, simulation, drawing, testing and documenting of robust and reliable electronic circuits for automotive prototypes.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of electronics engineers on large projects;
• Delivery of high-quality design, simulations, diagrams, layouts, tests and documents, according to the applicable standards and regulations - particularly for functional safety (ISO 26262);
• Completing the above subjects in a timely manner, in line with planning;
• Proactively investigating ideas for the improvement of electronic circuits;
• Improving and providing support for existing electronic circuits;
• Creating prototype electronic circuits;
• Creative development of the product portfolio (identifying market opportunities and potential patents).

Senior Electronics Engineer Automotive Job Requirements

Skills and experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent;
• At least 5 years work experience in a senior position;
• Knowledge of simulation, drawing and PCB tools (like Altium Designer);
• Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations related to the electronics design (like ISO 26262/16750 and NEN 3140);
• Knowledge of FMEA methodology and version control;
• Ability to work in a team, good interpersonal and communication skills;
• Independent and result oriented;
• Good command of the English language, both spoken and written.
