Limerick Based  - Start Up Manufacturing 


Position Description and Responsibilities

This person will have a high level of technical ability, to design, implement and maintain complex control software, to S88 standard, in a highly regulated Bio/Pharma/Medical Device environment, which will also include highly automated equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery of new equipment, and the modification and maintenance of all associated control software and documentation, in both development and production environments.

Automation/Commissioning Engineer Job Requirements

Skills Required: 

• Develop URS, FS, DDS, FAT, SAT, IQ, OQ, PQ documentation
• Develop code from FS, DDS
• Develop and operate projects based on SDLC, GAMP or equivalent project development life cycle
• Develop and manage own project schedule
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of work
• Develop, debug, validate and maintain Control System software in a highly regulated environment

• Debug code using test and live equipment
• Debug code developed by others
• Fault-find complex code
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Critique Vendor code development

• Organize and prioritize multiple tasks for self and others
• Lead small group of software engineers and/or work alone
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to complete tasks within timeframes and budgets
• Deliver work to schedules

• Strong PLC programming experience preferably with Allen Bradley RSLogix5000, Elau or equivalent
• Significant Batch experience developing and modifying systems
• Full understanding of and experience with S88
• Thorough working knowledge of Client/Server SCADA, Rockwell, Wonderware or equivalent
• Ability to work with multiple disciplines such as IT, Validation, Operations
• Ability to organize, plan and execute multiple tasks to a schedule
• Ability to document work clearly, precisely and efficiently
• Ability to diagnose problems on complex equipment
• Ability to write and execute test protocols
• Ability to think outside the box
