Embedded Software Engineer Job Description

Your responsibility

Develop and maintain engineering work products in accordance with the established development process and the applicable project standards and methodologies
Autonomously plan, design, implement, and test products of medium to high complexity
Demonstrate ownership of limited areas of the intercom system software architecture
Document design from high-level block diagram down to specific implementation decisions
Participate in Design and Code Reviews, both formal and agile forms (pairing etc.)
Assist in maintaining the computer and lab infrastructure as required

Embedded Software Engineer Job Requirements

Your profile

University degree in a technical discipline preferably in electronics and/or computer engineering
Proven experience in embedded software development in a relevant market field, ideally in the broadcast and entertainment market. Knowledge of digital audio technology is a plus.
Very good knowledge of programming of real-time operating systems (embedded systems), ideally Embedded Linux as well as C / C ++ and object-oriented software design. Experience in agile software development methodology is a must.
Knowledge of microcontrollers, ideally ARM architecture and standard Internet protocols
Pro-active team player who works on own initiative, result orientated, asking and giving assistance to other team-members
Good communicator with the ability to cross-domain thinking and willingness to collaborate closely with other company functions (engineering, management, customers, manufacturing)
Fluent German and English language skills (spoken and written)
