Plant Performance Engineer Job Description

Plant Performance Engineer
Location: Delft (Fulltime)

Your challenge!
As a Performance Engineer you manage all aspects of the daily operation / cycle of the plant. This in accordance with stakeholder requirements (Business, LTO, legal, HR, fiscal, SHE and Quality) and in line with the M&T vision, cost of production, yield, quality, throughput, requirements of supply. With your knowledge of continuous improvement methodology, you are responsible for managing and producing a sustainable plant performance. 

Your responsibilities
• As a Plant Performance Engineer you will track and trend data, work with production and support groups to identify trends and actions to take to resolve problem. You track actions and ensure resolution and closure;
• You facilitate the process to improving the plant’s operating capability, asset utilization, process optimization, equipment reliability and project management to meet manufacturing plan & targets;
• You contribute to specific improvement projects, e.g. determining users requirement in engineering phase , leading operational startup of new equipment, leading root cause analyses and facilitating LEAN rapid improvement events.

As our ideal candidate you have
• A Technical Master/Bachelor’s degree in biotechnology (fermentation – drying – downstream processes)
• Experience in food production facility and/or in a process facility
• Knowledge of continuous improvement methodology (LEAN and 6 Sigma)
• Strong process knowledge, organization and prioritization skills
• Analytical, structured, result driven
• High facilitation skills
• Ability to interfere at all organization levels
• Speaking Dutch fluently is essential for this position.
