IT Solution Architect (m/f) Job Description

The IT Build department, ensures the sustainability of IT systems in both domestic and foreign locations. We make sure that our BMW AG IT systems are available for all business processes and are always developing them further. We achieve optimal overall solutions by working closely with teams of specialists in business processes, IT technologies, IT processes and project managers.

As an IT Solution Architect (m/f), you will work in international teams. You will be responsible for the implementation of both the technical and application architecture based on the functional/non-functional requirements in IT projects. You will rely on standardised sample solutions and technical ETA structure. In addition, you will be an essential driver in the further development of the IT architecture and be responsible for stable architectures, for compliance with current safety standards in the IT concepts.

You will also take responsibility for the products and platform management for sample solutions in your department, including their structure, further development, the creation of a roadmap together with the manufacturer and controlling efficient installation and use. Your remit will also include validating the IT security, use of the BMW architecture and effective documentation for operational handovers.

IT Solution Architect (m/f) Job Requirements

You should have:

• University degree in information technology, industrial engineering or a comparable qualification.
• In-depth professional experience in implementing IT projects and in an international working environment.
• Experience in the field of process modelling and workflows.
• Technological expertise in areas, such as software development, SAP, databases, IT architectures.
• Excellent knowledge of common IT standards.
• Entrepreneurial thinking and behaviour, strong customer-orientation and presentation and moderation skills.
• Business-fluent English (advanced knowledge of German).
• Independent and structured approach to work and a high level of initiative.
