Resident Engineer (m/f) Job Description

Ihre Aufgaben:

Accompany the customer development teams from first request to SOP, being contact person for technical questions regarding design, calculation and testing and coordinate this activities with the engineers and project managers in the headquarter.
Preparing and leading Technical Reviews and Design Reviews in front of the OEM's relevant Engineers.
Project Management with the customer specific APQP needs.
Attending the test phase at the customer and organization of requested tests at Headquarter.
Controlling of all activities from SOP to EOP of each project.
Develop and visit current and potential customers, expanding relationships and looking for new projects.
Presentation of company capabilities, products, support and service.
Participating in weekly follow up engineering meetings for project with RundD team from customer side.
Checking CAD data before presenting to customers and making sure it fits to the requirements of the Customer Engineers.

Resident Engineer (m/f) Job Requirements

Ihr Profil:

University degree minimum (Engineering): Technical background with a strong understanding of mechanical/ automotive engineering.
Understanding of the plastic Injection process and the design and production of plastic molds (metal stamping know how is an advantage).
Proven experience in design of plastic parts. - Knowledge of automotive customers standards and requirements.
Previous Experience in working with OEMs and 1st-tier suppliers in Germany. - Several years project management experience working with automotive OEM PPAP and APQP stages.
Experience with CATIA and/or UX. - High level of computer literacy, using "Windows", "MS Office" and und “MS Project".
Strong oral and written communication skills for reports and customer interaction.
Ability to make contact with, negotiate with and influence key decision makers, self-motivated, flexible and a team-player.
Able and willing to travel extensively.
Fluency in English and German (spoken and written).
