Senior Consultant and Wind Analyst Job Description

Your main responsibilities will be to carry out energy yield assessment study to assess the potential production/revenues of wind farm projects under development or reaching Financial Close:

As a Senior consultant you:
·         Guide/manage junior wind analysts
·         Contribute to improvement in methodologies and quality control procedures
·         Liaise with customers and contribute to business development activities
·         Represent 3E to international seminars and conferences

As a Senior Wind Analyst you:
·         Design and follow up on meteorological campaigns (mast, Lidar, Sodar)
·         Quality control and analysis of meteorological data
·         Design and optimization of wind turbine layouts
·         Support the decision making process for turbine selection
·         Perform wind data analysis and energy production estimates
·         Perform technical feasibility studies for potential projects at a very early stage in development
·         Identify technical risks and recommend mitigation measures

Senior Consultant and Wind Analyst Job Requirements

Profile:

·         Graduate Degree in Engineering, or Environmental Sciences, Atmospheric Science, Meteorology, Mathematics
·         Physics or similar field of study
·         At least 4 years of experience as a wind analyst
·         Entrepreneur and critical mindset
·         Experienced in managing other wind analysts
·         Experience with data analysis techniques
 
Skills:

·         Proficiency with Wind Pro/WaSP and MeteoDyn or other CFD package
·         Proficiency with MS Office (Word/Excel/Access);
·         Strong overall computer skills and ability to learn multiple software tools;
·         Proficiency with large databases including SQL and Matlab;
·         Strong statistical analysis skills
·         Very good organizational skills, able to manage multiple jobs simultaneously, on time, budget and quality
·         Excellent writing skills for expertise reports (English and at a second language)
·         Knowledge of mapping software (Autocad) and/or modelling for electrical networks (DiGSilent) is an asset
·         Internationally oriented and open to travel regularly for short or midterm periods to our international offices (Belgium, France, Turkey, South-Africa) or for site visit. Readiness to relocate, in the longer term, is considered a plus at 3E.
·         Drivers license B
·         Fluent in English
·         Fluent in German or Turkish is an asset
