Senior Technical Project Engineer Job Description
Team/division description:
- The electronics evaluation group is responsible for benchmarking, performance target setting, performance confirmation and environment investigation related to a large number of electronics systems (Radio, Handsfree, EMC, Charge control, ADAS)
- The team you will join is responsible for the investigation and evaluation related to driver assistance systems (ADAS), providing increased safety to Toyota customers by competitive performance target setting, system performance confirmation on public road and EU legal compliance checking.
You will be responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction through the management of
below tasks for different ADAS platforms.
Pre-development:- Set up accurate objective measurement methods for new EU unique ADAS systems
- Define minimum performance target and TME preferred system implementation strategy
- Communicate EU must items in a clear way to Toyota overseas affiliates and ensure implementation in next platform
Production development:- Define test methodology and review evaluation results
- Participate to system evaluation (Bench, Prooving ground)
- Review test results and insure all Toyota Technical standards are respected
- Technical support and status follow up of external company data collection activities
- Planning of and participation to TME public road evaluation activities
- Report in a clear manner any project deviation to Toyota management, to support fast corrective decision
Field claim follow up:- Support ‘Early Detection, Early resolution’ activities towards ADAS related field claims

Senior Technical Project Engineer Job Requirements
Your profile:
- You have a master degree in electromechanical /electronics engineering or computer science, with at least 5 years experience at OEM or tier1
- You have prior experience in technical development of ADAS system or sensors (camera, radar), being involved in software or electronics design of the part
- You have excellent communication skills, and experience in international project
- You have good knowledge of ADAS sensors technical design and limitations
- You have good experience of software development process
- You have good knowledge of CAN communication and CAN tools (CANalyser, Canoe) (business need)
- You have good knowledge of Matlab, Simulink (business need)
- You have good knowledge of MicroAutoBox – dSpace (Asset)
- You are fluent in English (TME business language). German is an asset
