Control Systems Developer / 3D Printing Job Description

We currently have control systems written in C/C++ based on Smoothieware, as well as control systems based on Siemens Sinumerik technology. This job is centered on designing and implementing new software to use new sensors or control systems, as well as developing tests and designs for new control electronics. Much of the work will be done using Siemens Sinumeric tools and technologies, but will also include some work on our in-house simple GCode controller.  This job also involves occasionally doing debugging or reviewing code with coworkers.

Control Systems Developer / 3D Printing Job Requirements

Responsiblities:

• Select sensors, do basic experiments, and integrate tools into Sinumerik control systems.
• Work with mechanical and electrical engineers doing applications research
• Putting new technologies to work as part of a product, or a product customization
• Review co-workers designs and development (code-review)
• Work with a custom C/C++ control system to integrate new features and bug fixes

• Experience working on control systems or working closely with sensors/electronics
• Experience in firmware, machine controls, or NX Programming
• Experience in code-review or design review, or willing to work on a team that checks one anothers work.
• 3+ years of some kind/level of programming.
• Strong English skills / German a plus
