Electronics Engineer – Production & CPD Job Description

You will be responsible for the engineering of the electronics within the MekaMon products and accessories for mass production and beyond.  The role will involve providing manufacturability input into the product specification, and then driving forward the design through to mass production.

Once in mass production the product enters  a continuous product development (CPD) phase, where you become responsible for improving the reliability, and optimising the cost of the electronics.
You will be very hands on but also dealing with both internal and external (supplier) teams in the UK and China.

Electronics Engineer – Production & CPD Job Requirements

Requirements: 

Essentials:

• An Engineering Degree – Electronics, Robotics or Mechatronics degree.
• Minimum 3 years of experience of engineering similar complex consumer products for mass production
• Experience of working in a CPD (continuous product development) or VA/VE (Value Analysis/Value Engineering)
• Experience of product development processes, within a consumer electronics environment.
• Experience of Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) processes 
• Experience of hardware manufacturing in China.
• Perseverance and a strong drive to ensure product quality and cost targets are met.
• Power electronics design knowledge
• Lithium battery design knowledge
• Electro-mechanical actuation control system and motor driver knowledge
• Wireless communications systems knowledge
• Spoken Mandarin would be an advantage
