Offshore Marine Engineer open position Job Description
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
We are looking for an engineer for our office in Helsingør, Denmark. The prospective candidate should have an interest in offshore and renewable energy. You will work on a variety of offshore wind projects ranging from;
- Dedicated vessel and equipment design,
- On-site installation consulting,
- Operational procedure design and documentation
- Supporting engineering calculations, design
- Use of specialist softwares ADAMS, Ansys AQWA etc…
- Equipment specification evaluation and procurement.
You will work both internally and direct with clients both in Denmark and abroad. After an integration period, you will assume the role as one of the key persons in our offshore wind segment, in terms of design solution and integrally part of the offshore and renewable energy segment development process.
Offshore Marine Engineer open position Job Requirements
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE:
- Hold a BSc and/or MSc degree in marine engineering or naval architecture, with approximately 2-4 years- experience in offshore or marine design, practical experience in construction is favourable,
- Perform calculations according to class rules,
- Have previous experience in analysis software, in particular, dynamic analysis and vessel motions
- Develop detailed installation procedures for offshore windfarm foundation and turbine installations,
- Should be able to provide temporary On-Site technical support,
- Should be able to perform inspections and surveys, to evaluate installations and operations (refit, trouble shooting, modification, etc…),
- Some foreign travel is anticipated, according to individual project,
- Is expected to reside near Helsingør, Denmark, or be willing to relocate to take up the position.
