Senior PHP Developer Job Description

On behalf of a successful media agency in Amsterdam we are looking for a Senior PHP developer. As a Senior PHP developer you work on a variety of projects for national and international A-list clients. The projects vary from custom applications to complex backend systems.

You will primarily work with PHP and MySQL, of course OO. Ideally, you will also work with other development languages, such as Python, Perl or C++. Additionally, any interest in or experience with mobile development is a big plus.

The client
Our client is a young and creative media agency based in Amsterdam and consists of just under 20 people. The primary focus is the development of websites and online applications for external clients, both national and international. Mobile development plays an increasingly large role and is now almost as prolific as 'regular' development.
The company has an informal atmosphere and a very horizontal management structure. Initiative and creativity are encouraged, as well as personal development.

Senior PHP Developer Job Requirements

It is most important that you are passionate about development and have solid experience in the field. You are fully aware of the possibilities within web development and keep yourself up to date on new technologies and techniques. Additionally:
-3+ years of professional experience
-Excellent knowledge of PHP5, MySQL, OOP
-Good communication skills
-Plus: knowledge of frameworks (Zend, Cake, Symfony)
-Plus: Experience with mobile development
