Geoscientist Job Description

• Under general supervision, performs geological/geophysical/geomechanical/petrophysical software support to clients of BHGE Geomodeling and Geomechanics technologies;
• Responsibilities include providing technical support for the software to external and internal customer base, providing client training, and/or assist with client evaluation of software at the client site as required;
• Additional responsibilities will be liaison with software development to provide input to development plans for bug fixes and enhancements;
• Assist with client presentations as required;
• Handles special projects, as assigned

Geoscientist Job Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Geology or Geoscience. Master's Degree a plus;
• Knowledge of BHGE JewelSuite geomodeling and geomechanics software a plus;
• Demonstrates understanding of geological interpretation and analysis;
• Good problem solving skills with a drive for results;
• Self-motivated;
• Good written and verbal skills;
• Ability to build peer relationships as well as work independently;
• Ability to assimilate into Multi-Cultural Teams;
• Must be action oriented, ethical in value, and have a strong client focus;
• Knowledge of basic computer operation skills, competency in presentation graphics and exposure to geoscience-specific computer operations.

• Previous experience with E&P operator a plus;
• Understanding or experience in the E&P software industry with another technology is preferred;
• Previous experience in a technical support role a plus
